What Does the Bible Teach About God’s Strength?
The Bible consistently reveals that genuine strength comes from God alone. Human ability has limits, but the Lord’s power is limitless. Throughout Scripture, ordinary people accomplished remarkable things because they relied on God’s strength instead of depending on themselves.
God empowered:
- Moses to lead His people out of Egypt.
- Joshua to possess the Promised Land.
- David to defeat Goliath.
- Elijah after a season of discouragement.
- Esther to courageously save her nation.
- Paul to remain faithful despite persecution.
The same God who strengthened these faithful servants continues to strengthen His people today.
Isaiah 40:29 declares:
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
This promise still belongs to every believer who places their trust in Him.
Why We Need God’s Strength Each Day
Every believer eventually reaches moments when personal strength is no longer enough. Daily responsibilities, financial burdens, health concerns, family pressures, spiritual opposition, and unanswered prayers can leave us feeling exhausted and overwhelmed.

- His grace sustains us through every trial.
- His strength empowers us when we feel weak.
