Life sometimes presents battles that are difficult to explain. There may be seasons when you face persistent fear, confusion, discouragement, temptation, opposition, or repeated disappointments, leaving you wondering why certain things keep happening. As believers, however, we are encouraged to place our trust in God rather than allow fear to control us. Scripture reminds us that the Lord is our refuge, our strength, and our ever-present help in times of trouble.
Prayer for Today 15th August 2026 is centered on seeking God for protection, deliverance, spiritual strength, wisdom, and victory over every evil influence that attempts to disturb your peace, weaken your faith, or draw you away from God.
Prayer is not an invitation to become obsessed with darkness or live in fear of spiritual opposition. Rather, prayer demonstrates our confidence in God’s power, authority, faithfulness, and goodness. When we pray, we acknowledge that our help comes from the Lord and that no force is greater than His power.
Today, bring every burden and concern before God. Ask Him to reveal anything that could harm you, strengthen your faith, guard your household, and help you remain obedient to His Word while walking confidently in His protection.
What Does It Mean to Pray Against Demonic Powers?
Praying against demonic powers means seeking God for protection, deliverance, discernment, and strength against evil, temptation, deception, oppression, and spiritual influences that oppose His purposes.
The Bible calls believers to resist evil and remain firm in faith. James 4:7 says, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
This Scripture reveals an important principle: surrender to God comes before resisting the enemy. Spiritual victory does not come from fear, anger, or dependence on human strength. It begins with trusting God, submitting to Him, and allowing His truth to guide our lives.
Your prayers can therefore ask God for:
- Protection from evil and harmful influences
- Freedom from destructive habits and patterns
- Strength to overcome temptation
- Wisdom to recognize deception
- Peace when fear and uncertainty arise
- Protection over your family and household
- Victory over spiritual oppression
- Grace to remain faithful to God
- Courage to reject ungodly influences
- Renewed faith in God’s promises
